Sleep deprivation, or insufficient sleep, is when a sufferer doesn’t get enough sleep. A chronic  sufferer of sleep deprivation will suffer with fatigue, daytime sleepiness, clumsiness and weight loss or weight gain. It can adversely affect the brain and cognitive function and has recently been linked to Alzheimer’s disease.
